Searched databases were: Medline, PubMed, Cochrane Database ofSystematic Reviews, CINAHL Plus, Google Scholar, Index Medicus for WHO Eastern Mediterranean, and AsianPacific Journal of Cancer Prevention. Breast cancer screening participation rates are low. Screening programsare opportunistic and relatively new to the region.
