However, no previous studies have examined the prognostic significance of ALI in metastatic NSCLC treated with first line chemotherapy. The objective of this study was to explore the relationship between ALI and the prognosis of metastatic NSCLC treated with first line chemotherapy. Materials and Methods: Data of 109 metastatic NSCLC patients who had completed first line treatment with chemotherapy was collected. A multivariate flexible parametric proportional-hazards model with restricted cubic splines (RCS) was used to explore and identify the independent prognostic factors, including clinical potential factors and ALI for the overall survival. Multivariate regression analysis was used to evaluate the potential prognostic factors associated with short survival less than 6 months. The analysis of the restricted mean survival time (RMST) method was used to estimate the event-free time from zero to 18 months.
